What does it take to be a tomboy or an androgynous style blogger? How do I cope with the latest woman’s fashion trend, which sometimes can be an incredibly girly girl? To be honest, I have never had any problems with this stuff at all. Besides, I am just happy as the way I am because my blog is my style, and I am so madly in love with who I have become.
When I have to put the skirt on, I always lose my confidence up to 80%. That is the fact, and I do not feel embarrassed or anything. I guess, I was born to be this way, the stereotype that doesn’t attract the opposite gender. Why I am talking about this right now? It is essential to discover our identity and love who we are. I know I have talked about this topic a billion time, but seriously ‘who you are’ can long lasting the career in this industry. It makes everyone different from one another, plus isn’t it fun to experience a wide variety of styles from people in our communities? Therefore, I am tomboy style blogger who loves wearing menswear with dark brown lipstick. What about you?
NEVER FEEL ASHAMED OF WHO YOU ARE, AND HOW YOU DRESS UP
I used to be a person who thought too much about others’ opinion. Living in Asia means I have to be a proper girl with a cute style, or else I will not be able to get the attention from guys, and even girls. Seriously, nowadays, some people still look at me from top-to-toe with the curious eyes as if they wonder what I am wearing. At first, it made me feel so down, because all I thought was ‘why people always judge others from the appearance?’Or ‘Why do I have to wear the mainstream fashion like everyone else?
’ (If you are Asian, you will know what I am talking about.) It had been bugging me for a while, until I realized ‘who cares?’ I only live once, and I have only one chance to do what I want. Yep, that’s my motto of living life to the fullest. Though, I may have a different style, compared to other bloggers, I do LOVE my tomboy sensation, which I can’t live without. In fact, you can find me in H&M menswear section, because that’s where I feel comfortable walking around.

I ACCEPTED TOO MANY COLLABORATIONS THAT WERE NOT MY STYLE, YET I DID
In the past, it was really exciting when I received a collaboration email from many online stores who would love to send me clothes, and accessories to feature on my blog, The Equinox Fashion. I have appreciated every propose, and every opportunity that I have had. However, when I look into the old contents, they are just not right…When I first started my blog, it was so amazing that I would say yes to everyone. I did not care much about their products, as long as, I could call it as a ‘collaboration’ I got a lot of clothes, I wore everything, and I didn’t consider how I was going to look like the real person as I am now. I was too greedy, I must say, but it’s a lesson learned. Nowadays, I have become more selective towards the proposal from the brands. I used to say ‘yes’ even for the wig review in the old days, but now, I would slap my face, if I did.
HOW TO GET THE TOMBOY LOOK?
Actually, it has helped me save a lot of money since I have started to possess what the guys wear (lol) Oversized tanks, sunglasses, etc. The pieces that I cannot live without are L or XL tank-top, blazer, and accessories. I always combine these three with my own (woman) items such as culottes, bottom pieces, shoes, and jewelleries. I don’t know why, but it always boosts up my confidence in the tomboy look.
