Preparing an attire for a business meeting can absolutely lead to the first impression. We are lucky to live in a modern century, when every 'how-to' is online, and we can just browse for the inspirations, and guidelines from others. Though we do not have many designer' clothes to define us with the price tags, we are able to look expensive in whatever we have in the wardrobes. Dressing up like a pro is not only boosting the individual confidence, but first impression towards others also. What matters the most in the meeting? Attire and etiquette.
FEEL CONFIDENT IN WHAT YOU WEAR
One of the most crucial things is the 'attire' Have you ever heard 'dress to impress'? I think this quote can be used in every situation, not jut a special date anymore. Whenever I have a formal blogger event, or business meeting to attend, I always pick either grey or black blazer to be my BFF. The truth is I think this piece can be a life-saver in many occasions. No matter if we wear a tank-top, high-waisted jeans, and loafers for a casual daytime catching up with friends, simply add the blazer and see how the vibe of the look can be different. Just one item can elevate the street style to become a minimalist inspired professional look.
However, the most important thing is to feel confident in our own outfits (like I said before that self-esteem in style and appearance's the key). Try pairing the pieces in front of the mirror, or organizing them like a fashion flatlay on Instagram (seriously, this account is the bomb!), and see how everything works out.
ON TIME, HUMBLE, AND LEARN HOW TO SAY YES AND NO
Blogging for The Equinox Fashion has taught me to be on time, humble, and respect the people I have met.
There are a lot of things that we can learn from blogging, not just the connection we get.
Punctual is a must, modesty can make people love us, meanwhile learning how to accept or decline the offer is a big deal too. Be clear of why you are there, try to ask and understand everything about the work, assignment, or proposed project. Some of us might hesitate to say no because we do not want to hurt the feelings of others, however, saying no doesn't hurt anybody, right? I know it is hard to reject the client, but I also think that saying no can lead to another greater upcoming opportunity too! It doesn't mean that we will lose the opportunities forever! Personally, I have said no to lots of online retailers, though they proposed me with the social media exposure. I don't know about you, but if I feel like I don't want to do it, then I am not going to force myself. Trust your gut!
